The Effect of Others on Our Life Map

Generally, a person living a free and independent life is more likely to have a perfect 'fit' for the Secret of Your Age than someone who's married, responsible for children or otherwise hindered by others in their personal development. The more people your life is influenced by, the less likely your ability to achieve the potential of your age. In a challenging year, the influence of others may be a blessing, but in a green light year others are more likely to hold you back than encourage you.

It's an unfortunate fact of life that some of us suffer years that are totally dominated by others and our lives become extensions of theirs. For people who have difficulty relating to the age descriptions over their entire lives, then you must consider the possibility that you have been living in somebody else's shadow all of your life -- and that person could be anyone with whom you have an attachment, even God.

One woman checked out the ages of the most significant people in her life for each year and came to the remarkable revelation that her entire life so far had been lived according to somebody else's life path -- first her father's and then her husband's. When she took advantage of the right year in which to analyze her relationships, she took charge of her life and is now doing her own thing.

Also, significant others can include people outside our orbit completely but nevertheless affect us significantly. Think of Osama bin Laden and George Bush and you get the drift of how other people in positions of power can change our lifepath completely.
